This lamppost was taken when I returned to my village to sort out my parent's house after my father passed away last year. I had not returned for at least 10 years. Had an impossible relationship with my parents and I thought this lamppost is exactly how I came out of this village because of my parents. The buildings behind, belong to 2 main institutions, Church and Education so Government. Back them we were not that well supported when born a bit different. I suffered a fair bit because of that. Still it help me to find focus later in life which I would have perhaps not found due to my struggles. Still I believe that I could have been happier. So broken we came out but it certainly never stopped me from shining and giving light.
