THE BLOCK
This project following immediately the Blob project. The blob had no backbone and struggled to stay erect. Over a month I engaged the blob in various positions, and they all failed except one… the shrimpy position.
The block is constructed with similar material that formed the units in the blob project. However, the bottles for this project were not round but more squarish. A different assemblage strategy was thought up, just for the Block. All units were tied together with one uninterrupted 5 metre washing line. Well, if you ever wondering how to put this together…. Follow the plan below…
Figure
To construct the method, I worked on this figure using different colours for each set of 4 blocks. Two sets of 4 blocks, constructed one side. We had 4 sides and one top compose of 4 blocks in orange.
There are probably more than one way so of threating a single line to assemble these blocks. However, a "criss-cross" strategy was useful with maintaining the blocks in position from each other. Another point is to decide the starting point of your threat. The starting point was on the top side.
